About

Join us at the Engineering Mechanics Institute Conference 2021 (EMI 2021)—the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) premiere annual mechanics conference—and the 13th ASCE Specialty Conference on Probabilistic Mechanics and Reliability (PMC 2021)—offered by ASCE every four years as a special venue for related work in probabilistic methods. This joint conference will be hosted by Columbia University in New York City and organized by Professors Shiho Kawashima, Ioannis Kougioumtzoglou, Steve Waiching Sun, Haim Waisman, George Deodatis and Dr. Elisabeth Malsch. The conference will provide a forum where the fundamental advances in engineering mechanics will be on display.

At the conference, listen to distinguished plenary lecturers, support some of the brightest students participating in student competitions, and share in the recognition of some major contributors to the field of engineering mechanics as they receive EMI's prestigious medals and other awards.

About the Engineering Mechanics Institute

The Engineering Mechanics Institute (EMI) was created on October 1, 2007 to serve the engineering community through the development and application of engineering mechanics by anticipating and adapting to new challenges that will face tomorrow's engineers, and to provide a home not only for those involved in the traditional disciplines but also for those involved with emerging areas of mechanics.
